Dieing Help, Starter Replace
Hello my name is David. I just purchased a 2003 T&C Van from a friend. It was giving him grief so he said give me $200.00 it's yours so I did. Of course the stater was out so I'm in the process of replacing it. He told me that when he started the car when to back up or forward it would die unless he stepped hard on gas pedal. He just changed plug and wires. ANY IDEAS
Also it has a damaged bumper cover. Will all covers from all models fit?
Is there a best place to buy thee parts?
I'm in the process of replacing my starter. Came out OK not going back going crazy. Any secrets?
THX David

As too Dieing engine, check all intake air pipes and hoses for possible leaks. Examine sensors too that they are actually there. I take this to be Petrol engine. Possible idle control sticking as well.
At your driving and car experience, you should be familiar with tight location fit of startewr motors on American cars!..LOL I found a trick that gives me more working room is to remove the front center motor mount/bracket that is in the way. The 2 side mounts will support the eng/transaxle assemblies and when done just line things back up with the dirt/ paint coloration marks of the before disassembly position.
