Have a 2009 T&C with 3.3L engine. Cant start the engine, when I put the key in and turn to START, starter works and turns engine over at normal cranking speeds but engine does not start.
When I release key from START position it returns to ON (engine doesn't start) but starter continues to crank. I have to return Key to OFF position to stop the starter. Battery is 7 months old,
I have kept it charged during this troubleshooting venture (with a battery charger). An OBDII scan indicates no Stored Trouble Codes and no Pending Trouble Codes. Does the starter motor
get switched off only when the vehicle engine starts or when you turn the ignition key to OFF? Will appreciate any clues or items to check. Thanks.
